If there was a time to enjoy the splendor of the Hudson Valley outdoors, it's definitely now. As photographers, it's an amazing season for weddings! We enjoyed another beautiful weekend in the Hudson Valley and a gorgeous autumn day for Leah and Patrick's lovely wedding.
Fall foliage is definitely a major attraction at this time of the year, and what a amazing show for this fall wedding. However, this great autumn show of colors come with a price -- shorter days. Fortunately Leah and Patrick made the right decision of having many of their photos taken before the ceremony. That way they could get the most out of this gorgeous fall day without rushing.
The bride arrived at Christos in Poughkeepsie, NY dressed and ready to see her groom for the fist time on their wedding day. With some careful planning, we organized the revealing (bride and grooms first look at one another) at the edge of the golf course. Patrick was turned away while his bride slowly approached to tap him on his shoulder. After the flood of emotions, we then continued taking romantic photos of the bride and groom in the beautiful Hudson Valley outdoors. Our planning allowed us to take full advantage of the daylight on this beautiful, sunny autumn day.
The ceremony was on the patio of Christos, and the reception followed right after it. The newlyweds, their friends and family, enjoyed the rest of the evening celebrating Leah and Patrick's nuptials, dancing and having a great time!
