We first met Kelly and Greg on their wedding day and what a wonderful first meeting it was! They planned their Westchester wedding over 500 miles away. Both had recently moved south to North Carolina but were set on planning a special celebration in Westchester where they grew up and still refer to as home.
Kelly along with all of her bridesmaids got ready at her parents house, in Ossining. Kelly is such an easygoing person and was so relaxed and composed during the Getting Ready shots. Her make-up artist and hair stylist created a beautiful, soft and romantic look for her which suited her wonderful. The groom got ready at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Tarrytown. Their ceremony was at St. Augustine Church in Ossining, overlooking the majestic Hudson River. This church with it's pleasant modern architecture and large clear windows allowed lots of natural light to come through and offered gorgeous views. During the ceremony the afternoon light that came through the windows created a magical atmosphere.
The weather was a bit cold but with a warming bright sunshine. We did most photos outside, taking advantage of the beautiful location dominating the Hudson river and its surroundings. We took many group shots as well of the romantic portraits with the newlyweds. Winter weddings do require a more fast-pced approach as the comfort of our bride, groom and bridal party is very important to us. We moved quickly and efficiently so our bride especially didn't freeze as she wore only her strapless wedding dress that windy and brisk afternoon. The bride and groom were then transported in a lovely Rolls Royce to their reception, while the bridal party followed in a limousine.
The reception took place at DoubleTree by Hilton in Tarrytown, just a short ride from the church. Some of the greatest features of this venue are the large fireplaces burning real wood which made everyone feel so warm and welcomed inside. The evening was a happy celebration with lots of fun, laughter and dancing. Turntable Events did a wonderful job creating a lively atmosphare that kept this couple and their guest dancing the entire evening.
